Summary

This is a unique opportunity for a dynamic, detail-oriented client services professional to join Jensen Investment Management’s Client Services team. The Client Services Senior Associate plays a critical role at Jensen by ensuring the timely, accurate and thorough presentation of information about the firm and its strategies to clients, prospects and databases. This role works closely with multiple departments across Jensen’s team, including Sales, Operations and Portfolio Management, and frequently communicates with clients and other external partners.

The ideal candidate will have two to four years of financial services industry experience, preferably in an operations, compliance, marketing or client services role.

Job Duties

  • Prepare and respond to ad hoc and quarterly questionnaires from clients and prospects with thorough and accurate information.
  • Assist with responses to ad hoc data or reporting-related requests from clients and prospects.
  • Generate and render data from various industry standard data systems (including Morningstar Direct, Refinitiv Eikon and others); perform basic analytics where needed.
  • Build relationships and proactively interact with internal partners in Operations, Trading, Portfolio Management, Marketing, Compliance and Human Resources to keep abreast of current information related to the firm, its strategies and future initiatives.
  • Provide quality control for data and language in databases, questionnaires and client responses.
  • Participate in various projects aimed at improving the overall efficiency of the Client Services team.
  • Provide feedback and input to senior leaders to enhance strategic plans.
  • Establish priorities and complete work objectives with great attention to detail and limited supervision.
  • Communicate with internal and external clients and partners timely and professionally.
  • Maintain punctual, regular and predictable attendance.
  • Work collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
  • Respectfully take direction from the supervisor.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum one year of financial services industry experience required.
  • Associate degree or financial services designation.
  • RFI/RFP/DDQ or client reporting experience preferred.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to self-motivate are essential.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks with competing deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to address technical investment-oriented detail in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships and communicate professionally and efficiently with both internal and external business partners.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Experience with macros and other advanced skills preferred.
  • Must work well in a team environment but also be able to work independently with limited oversight.
  • Critical thinking skills to interpret and respond to requests, as well as the ability to understand detailed information such as investment performance and portfolio characteristics.
  • Experience with content management systems such as Qvidian and data providers such as Morningstar or eVestment is preferred.
  • Desire to grow and contribute to the evolution of the role and the broader Client Services team.
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to execute tasks in a timely and proficient manner.
