Marianna MacKenzie Day, Manager - Operations

Marianna MacKenzie Day, Operations Manager Marianna MacKenzie Day, Manager - Operations, joined the firm in 1999. She attended Portland Community College with an emphasis in Liberal Arts. Marianna has over thirty years of industry experience, serving as Director of Operations at Charter Investment Group, where she provided customer service and cashier functions for over 2,000 clients. She also worked in the Trust Department of US Bancorp.

 

 

Thomas Smith, Director - Operations & Information Systems

Thomas Smith, Operations Director Thomas Smith, Director - Operations and Information Systems, joined the firm in 2003. He earned a BA in Philosophy from the University of California, Los Angeles, and his MBA from the Atkinson Graduate School of Management at Willamette University. Tom has over fifteen years of experience in information systems, business operations and project management. Prior to joining Jensen, he worked with FleetBoston Robertson Stephens as their Sr. Systems Engineer with responsibility over 1200 end-user systems nationally. Tom has further worked in a myriad of technology, project management, and consulting roles for firms such as Credit Suisse First Boston, Goldcoast Properties, The Boulder Philharmonic Orchestra, Willamette University, and as a consultant for his own firm, Smith Systems.

 

 

Michael Roland, Manager - Trading & Account Executive

Michael Roland, Account Executive & Trader Michael Roland, Manager - Trading & Account Executive, joined the firm in 2005. He earned a BS in Business Administration from Dickinson State University. Mike spent over eleven years with Columbia Management Group, Inc. as an Operations Manager. He performed cash and position reconciliations for over 200 institutional and high net worth clients and maintained Columbia’s third party reconciliation program. Mike worked closely with portfolio managers regarding daily cash balances and compliance and also to process mutual fund trades.

 

 

Sarah Havens, Operations Associate

Sarah Havens, Operations Associate Sarah Havens, Operations Associate, joined the firm in 2006. She earned a BA from Lewis & Clark College, and has over seven years experience in project and relationship management. She is a member of Portland City Club, and is active in Portland's civic and arts communities, including the Portland Institute for Contemporary Art, New Avenues for Youth, SOS Outreach, Portland Center Stage, and the Portland Art Museum.

 

 

Teresa Smith, Account Executive

Teresa Smith, Account Executive Teresa Smith, Account Executive, joined the firm in 2006. She earned a BS in Economics - System Science from the University of California, Los Angeles. Teresa has over fifteen years experience in investment banking and corporate finance, serving as Portfolio Accountant at Thomas Weisel Partners LLC. In that role, Teresa managed the portfolio reporting system for the private client division. She worked closely with brokers, reconciled accounts and managed custodial download issues. She was an Assistant Trader at Bank of America and an Accountant at Banc of America Securities LLC.
