The Jensen investment team focuses on a strictly defined universe of fewer than 200 companies. Each of these companies has achieved strong business performance over the last 10 years.
We believe that quality businesses possess sustainable competitive advantages and demonstrate persistent outstanding business performance. These companies have produced consistent returns above their capital costs, which we believe makes them more likely to deliver attractive long-term shareholder returns.
Each quarter we evaluate this universe of quality companies according to our strict valuation criteria. We believe the 50 — 60 companies in The Jensen Strategy offer above average growth prospects and are undervalued relative to their business performance.
